Considering how polarizing and even divisive this issue of the final perseverance of the believers is, there has never been a better time for anyone in the church to read this particular volume in this larger, supremely encouraging and fortifying Romans comment by Martyn Lloyd-Jones. What this volume did for me regarding handing over whatever self sufficiency i had lurking inside my soul out of which, i believed, could save me from hell, cannot be overstated. The assurance that it indeed Gods power and purpose which both saved me and will continue to save me, that began this process within me of finally being cured of wondering and doubting if i “would ever be strong enough in my love and devotion to God to allow me to finally persevere in persecution or the rigors of life. Almost humorously, I came to realize reading this volume one morning that it is actually His love and devotion to me that will forever enable me to stand.
